[glow=red,2,300]Here is something I did myself, I don't know of anyone else doing it yet so I want to share this with all of you. I do real Stained Glass and lots of arty stuff ,home made things, folk art I guess you can call it. I was out picking up some supplies at a craft store and I saw they sold Stained Glass paint for 2 for $1.00 so I grabbed some of many different colors and I got to thinking about how I wanted to use them. I went to Home Depot and I saw they sold Glass of different styles and sizes, round or square already cut for just a few dollars, so I got a nice size round one, the guy at the store put this heavy tape around the edges so I would not get cut, it's thick so I wasn't worried about that. I got it home and made me an altar out of it, I used the Stained Glass paint to do all my Writing in the Witches Alphabet, draw pentagrams and trees things that are special to me, it was lots of fun too. after you let it dry you can then place all your alter things on it, I can also just pick it up and carry outside for my spell work. also it's very pretty in the sunlite when I pick it up, it looks just like stained glass and it's very personal. If you can write your name you can do this, it's easy...... no experience needed! try it![/glow]

What a lovely & creative idea! Do you stand it on anything when using it indoors so it is more "table" like or just use it on the floor? BB x

Hi Tiggy, Both...thats why I like it so much, I got a round corner table at walmarts for $5.00 it comes with a glass top so I just traded them out and made me another altar top out of that one...lol for some reason I wanted to do weeping willow trees on it. cool thing is...if you don't like it after you get it all done ......you can just peal it off and start over.

Wow what an awesome idea. I have made my altar from a large piece of wood that I got stuck with. I thought I had burned it and then it was buried like 4 times, my kids used it for all sorts of play. So finally I decided that since I could not get rid of it, I would put it to use. I sanded down one side to smooth and varnished it and thats my altar. Mines very simple but I like your creativity. It sounds beautiful.
