[glow=red,2,300]Methods to Raise Energy
The "tree" method is also a helpful exercise for raising energy. This time, the energy you call will be that of the Earth and not from yourself. Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Imagine yourself as a tree. Your legs are your roots, extending into the ground. Your body is the trunk and your arms and head are the branches. The goal is to create a circle of energy. Pull the Earth's energy up from your "roots," through your "trunk" and out your "branches" where it will flow back down into the Earth, finishing the cycle.
In magick workings, you learn to draw energy on command without a second thought, whether its pulling the energy from yourself, Earth or the Divine.
When you are finished working with energy, it is very important to release any lingering energy and ground yourself. Otherwise, you may be bouncing off walls. Energy overload is somewhat similar to a sugar or caffeine high.
If you called the energy from within you, place your hands over your stomach and send the energy back into you. If you called then energy from the Earth, send it back. Hold your hands, palms facing the Earth and feel the energy drain from you back into the Earth. Eating, especially anything carb-related, is also a great way to ground energy. That is partially why so many rituals include a small feast.
Do you know of any you would like to share with us? What is you favorite Method to Raise Energy ?[/glow]

I love this idea. I rarely experience energy drain, but I am extremely sensitive to positive and negative energy. I have learned alot of ways to keep the energy around me flowing in a positive way. Here are a few I learned to make part of my regular household routines.
Creating Positive Magickal Energy in your Home
Remove the price tags and barcodes from everything you can
Keep clutter cleared out as much as possible
Keep dead leaves cleaned up
Trim trees, bushes, hedges regularly
Cut away all circular plant growth to lower than your waist line
Keep weeds out of your magical garden by vigorous weeding
Keep spare change in one container and not spread throughout your house
Use organic cleaners for your home
Use scented linen water for ironing, beds, towels, light room air freshner ( I prefer Merlot)
Empty and take out all trash cans before bed time
Keep your windows and glass clean
Keep your house scented with pleasing fragrances - this requires individual expermints to see what works for you
Purchase bath soaps, lotions, oils, ect…. That are scented and organic for everyday use, the kind you usually give as gifts at Christmas, valentines ect… a great way to make this affordable is the after holiday clearance sales, by the gift baskets that are liquidated after the holidays and take all the goodies out of them either recycle the baskets for another use or give them away , store the goodies for future use
Purchase matching hangers for all the closets in your home and get rid of mismatched hangers, plastic store hangers and wire
Keep all calendars in your home set on the proper day, year and month
Make sure all clocks in your home are in sequence with each other
If you have a bad energy problem or you are experiencing “looping” cut all the extra tags off all garments in the house
Use Mason Jars to store everyday food items. Change regularly used household items out of store bought containers into plain, simply labeled containers such as dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, cereals, ect…
Clean out all dead plants and flowers regularly and replace with live ones or seeds
Keep your refrigerator and food storage area clean and filled with fresh food
