As we all go about doing our every day witchery, It can seem very innocent and at times very harmless. But the truth of the matter is that every thing we do does have an affect on things around us.
Some spells we do can and will have a massive impact on some people and we often dont even see the results of what we do.
So do we have the right to cast spells and should we not pay a price for the results we bring.
What do you think, Tell us how you feel about this ....

[glow=red,2,300]yes Dragon..I do agree we will pay a price ...that's why we must always be mindful of what we are doing in magick. We take the right to do spells to cause the results of what we do,we just better understand the consequences of what we are doing. great post by the way...gets you thinking.[/glow]

EVERY action we take has the ability to impact someone or something, some times with consequences unknown to us.....not just in magick. Do we have the right to do magick knowing it can impact others either intentionally or unintentionally? It all comes down to motives. If your motives are pure than yes, after all we are only responsible for our actions, not how the universe plays out those actions. You can even get all trippy in your thinking here and say that holding back from using magick because of fear of the unknown consequences is in itself an action and can unknowingly influence the life of someone you had no intention of influencing. I think when it comes down to it, in magick like in life you are only held responsible for your own intentions. Just my thoughts anyway.

Very good Fallen,,,
You bring up some realy good points, My thinking is along the same lines as your self. It is the intentional out come of our spell that we are possibly responsible for. But we should alway give carefull concideration for the negative side or unintentional out come to your spell, For knowingly neglecting this would surely be our responsiblity.

I do not cast spells, I am a very strong believer that everything we do, everything we think, everything we speak should be done in such a way as to not harm no one or anything. Now should I do harm, then yes I have to answer to the damaged I did for it will hit me smack down in the face 3 times harder.

Yes, even if someone or something gets hurt if it is for the greater good then so be it, if it is just out of nastiness then one gets what one deserves.

[glow=red,2,300]I do agree Rhianwen, If it's justified then so be it! yes,I understand all about setting ones self up as judge and jury but some people need to be gotten back..but only in aWAY that karma sees fit.[/glow]

HMMM, As these things often do it's gone full circle.
I dont believe that we can be judge or the jury. only in the sence that we can judge our selfs by what we do.
( if it's justified so be it) how do we justifiy some thing. how can we say that a person did wrong unless we are in the same position as that person at that given time.

Everything we do has an affect on anything, not just the fact that we do magick. Driving a car affects our surroundings, having a cold affects others around us, etc. Everything has an affect. Remember that...... in ALL that we do has some kind of an affect. You heard that saying "A Butterfly flapping its wings in California Causes a Hurricane in Japan."

I believe in doing rituals that affect myself, but when it comes to involving another person in my own magick, ever mind the law of three. Approach with great caution and it is best to try and avoid involving others.
