This is a recipe for an all-natural bug spray. Herbs will rarely need to be sprayed, but just in case you are growing flowers in your garden or you notice that your young plants are being eaten, you might want to try this all-purpose spray: 4 - 6 cloves of garlic 1 small pungent onion 2 hot peppers (or 1 teasthingy ground cayenne pepper) Place these ingredients in a blender with 1 quart of water and blend until liquefied. Allow the brew to sit overnight, then strain it through cloth. Add 3 drops of dishwashing liquid soap to the mixture as you pour it into a pump spray bottle. Use this brew on pests that are eating plant leaves. This came from a book entitled The Bug Book, by Barbara Pleasant. This book is invaluable to the gardener. It has information and illustrations on just about every bug found in the garden, both "good bugs" and "bad bugs". It also tells which plants attract beneficial insects. Highly recommended.
