Merry Meet!
Where to begin. Hmmm. Well, I first discovered what a witch was when my daughter told me she was one.......and that I was one also! Instead of launching into the "vapors" I decided to do some research and find out what she was REALLY into. With every book I read, it was like "coming home". There were a few occassions as a child that I recall some things happening, like sitting in daddy's chair and wishing we had a green car, and he came home that day with a green car. I've always had some sort of psychic connection with my daughter. When she ran away at 14 and got all the way from Florida to Pennsylvania, I knew when she had a sore throat and swollen glands because mine hurt, yet my glands were not swollen nor my throat red. I just knew I was feeling her symptoms. Once I felt very sick in the evening and went and layed down for a while. It suddenly occurred to me that I wasn't the one who was sick, but that someone else was in great trouble, though I had no idea who. The next day I stayed home from work because I felt so bad. The following day I went back to work to discover that my co-worker's boyfriend had died on a ship out of New York Harbor the same night I felt really bad. I knew that's what I had felt. I waited a whole year to get up the nerve to tell her about it, and she didn't scoff at all but believed me entirely.
Later I found a flyer in a small wiccan shop at the flea market about classes. I called the number, found out where and when the seminar was, and attended. I didn't get a "bad feeling" about it, so I signed up for Wicca 101. I became a Seeker in the Circle of the Moonlit Sea, a Blue Star tradion (Celtic/British) as it was just starting up. Other things in my life drew me away from the covenstead (having to work overtime and missing circle, meetings, etc.) and drifted away. They have since become a Blue Moon tradition. Now I'm a solitary. I've always been too scattered to really hone any one ability, so I know a little of this and a little of that but I'm not a master of any one thing. I think I've been "aware" for about ten years now, maybe longer. Oh, and I'm a Reiki II as well.
I was invited here from my page in MySpace. My URL there is www.myspace.com/iamsandywitch, if anyone would like to go there. I didn't even really want to have a page there, but people kept inviting me, and since I'd lost my domain for my poetry site due to lack of funds, I decided to go for it and put some of poems into a blog. I stayed in the broom closet pretty much on my own web site because I know my inlaws visited that often and they would not approve, but I don't think they'll find me in MySpace, so I'm coming out there more and more all the time! LOL!!!
That's about all i can think of for now! I'm 58 years old, married, a mother of two, and grandmother of three with one on the way!
I've recently had cataract surgery on my best eye, so I won't be very active in here for a while until I can see clearly again. Everything is blurry. It'll probably take me till my eye is healed completelyl to be able to see that security code thingy! LOL!!! Why do they DO that? Only young people with good vision can figure out what it is!!!
Hugs,
