School is about to start again and I thought I'd share my idea for creating a happy classroom (it should work for home as well). I use a mixture of sea salt and water (that I have charged and blessed) and sprinkle it around my room, visualizing all of the current energies leaving the area (good and bad, I like to start fresh). When I am finished, I take a minute to reflect on the feelings I want my students to have in my room. Many of them find school difficult and frustrating, so I think about them making accomplishments, laughing, smiling, feeling loved, accepted, and successful. As I think about these things I want for my students, I take in deep breaths. When I am good and charged, I breath out the stored up energy into my doorway and visualize a curtain of positive energy completely covering the door, a curtain that removes negative feelings and replaces them with positive ones. My children (and I) have to pass through it every time they enter or exit my room. I did this for the first time at the end of last year, and I did see results in my students attitudes. This will be the first year that I start the year with this little ritual.

This is fantastic. I wish I had a teacher like you when I was at school.I am certain you & your students benefit from this ritual. Thank you for sharing with us. BB Tiggy x
