[glow=red,2,300] [glow=red,2,300] Merry Meet Word, Here is some info to help you along with your tarot cards: click here: inthecircle.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=familiar
I would try to buy yourself some new cards, see what deck you are just drawn to and that will be easy for you to use.
When I'm preparing to do a reading for somebody else, before I give them the cards, I sit shuffling them for a few seconds just to clear them off of any influences. I then burn Nag Champa Incense and wave my cards thought the smoke to cleanse them. After I've done the reading, I shuffle again for a few seconds..then back thought the Nag Champa so the cards are clean when they are put away. I have a list of different Tarot Decks listed,so check that out. BB Gypsy[/glow][/glow]

Merry meet, kindreds- I was gifted a Tarot Card deck from my hubby last Yule. It is a Faerie Wisdom Deck by Amy Brown. Is it necessary to pick out your own deck, or can I use this one? Also, since I don't know the first thing about how to use them, (of course I'll sit down one day and read the directions...LOL!) can these be used just like the "regular" tarot deck? I know there are so many out there...I'm fairly confused.

I currently have four decks...I have only picked out one deck myself...my husband has purchased all of the others. I am not, by any means, a gifted card reader...but the ones that my husband has picked for me have all seemed to more accurate than the one I picked myself.
because I have a bad reaction to nog champa I can not use this when doing a reading...I did find a product called spell stix though while I was in Montana a few weeks ago. This has been one of the few incents that I could use without alergic irritation. I think it helps to put me in the right state of mind to do what they are planning.

Im also very intressed in learning to use a tarot deck. Its some thing that i have been thinking of for may be three years or so now. i have two decks. I have read some where on the Witch community of a class to learn tarot reading and they was saying thow the rule book away and learn from the cards, this i find very intresting and very much my way of working. any information on this kind of working would be very helpfull ...
Many Thanks

I still use my rule book...but it is mostly for the purpose of the layout. If I am doing a symple three card spread...I just read what I can...if it is a more complicated celtic cross layout...I need the book to remember what each place represents (past, present, influences, etc)
